Webinar | Xi’s United Front: A Damage Assessment on the CCP’s “Elite Capture”

As the evidence continues to mount that the Chinese Communist Party under Xi Jinping has both a longstanding commitment to the destruction of the United States and increasingly imperative domestic political, economic and demographic reasons to act imminently on that mission, the danger posed by “elites” across this country “captured” by the CCP is greatly intensifying. If we are to have a chance of surviving the likely-coming violent onslaught – or even the further ratcheting up of China’s pre-kinetic “unrestricted warfare” in America – we must comprehend the magnitude of this “enemy within” problem and take corrective action now.

From its inception five years ago, the Committee on the Present Danger: China has been seized with the unprecedented danger posed by the CCP’s “old friends” in every sector of our society including notably: the economic, financial, academic, cultural, media and political ones. This topic has been a prominent feature of the Committee’s webinars, with the relevant findings of the first seventy or so of these programs distilled in the book co-authored by the CPDC’s Frank Gaffney and Dede Laugesen, The Indictment: Prosecuting Communist China and Friends for Crimes against America, China and the World.

Tragically, since The Indictment’s publication in May 2023, the problem posed by the CCP’s suborning of large numbers among our country’s elites has become more acute than ever –and more impossible to miss. Recent findings concerning the $30 million Joe Biden and his family have received from, among others, known Chinese intelligence operatives are but one example. Allegations that both Vice President Kamala Harris and Minnesota Governor Tim Walz have longstanding ties to Communist China and its so-called United Front Work Department influence operations are another. And, a book-length exposé documenting the CCP compromise of legislators at every level on both sides of the aisle makes it impossible for our nation responsibly – and safely – to dismiss or ignore the very present danger thus posed.

This week's CPDC webinar provides a damage assessment of Xi’s United Front operations and prescriptions about what must be done forthwith to mitigate and, to the extent possible, reverse the threat they pose.
