This physics video covers a tutorial on using the mean value theorem for integrals to obtain an equivalent definition of an impulse using the average force. The impulse is a force applied over a time interval. Geometrically, the impulse is the area under the force vs time curve. Hence, different equivalent forms of the impulse can be used in the impulse momentum theorem depending on the physics problem being analysed.
