Remember when the US quit in Vietnam because it was essentially impossible to really win against the indigenous people without massive bloodshed? We destroyed a lot of Vietnam and took in many war refugees as a consequence. Now we've destroyed many countries in tne Middle East during Bush's chaotic "war on terror". There's a certain obligation to help the refugees we're responsible for creating. It's an American thing. I see these as refugee communities, not "invaders"!
