You are a good and true American who follows the values of freedom and democracy, Mike. I respect your point, but I can't entirely agree with it. Most of the democratic party officials today are no longer Democratic but Communist (the extreme left of the spectrum controls the party and the policy-making process, and they go by the Marxist ideology), a collectivist form of government that persecuted, tortured, and imprisoned political opponents, and most importantly, assassinated more than one hundred million human beings in the history of the world. The faction that covers itself with the mask of "Progressive" within the larger frame of the Democratic party is, in reality, a Marxist squadron. If Trump wins as Trump voters, our stand should be to make them pay for their crimes against this country and be banned from the political map of the United States, just as they did in Poland, a country that suffered firsthand the evils of Communism. I came initially from Communist Cuba, so I know what I am talking about. You cannot be compassionate to these people in the Progressive side of the Democrats nor to the unelected officials of the deep state. They need to be wiped out from government; they will not be compassionate to you or the rest of the Americans. They have tried to put President Trump in prison; they have falsely smeared him and even tried to assassinate him (don't tell me we have no proves, we will never have them). And by doing that to him, it is as if they were doing it against all American people; he happens to stand in the way.
