Can't Make This Up: Did I Hear That Right? Kamala Said She Fought 'For Seniors Facing Elder Abuse'

Posted • August 23, 2024: If you watched Kamala's speech Thursday night, my condolences. That's a long time to listen to her voice and her lies. Still, there was a moment that was almost amusing, though mostly just painfully lacking in self-awareness. Though her speech was missing a lot on policy, she tried to reinvent herself and tout her record in various offices, which gave us this little line: "I stood up," she claimed, "For veterans and students being scammed by big for-profit colleges. For workers who were being cheated out of the wages they were due. For seniors facing elder abuse." -- Kamala, who helped run the White House's "Weekend at Bernies" routine for 3 years: “I stood up for veterans & students being scammed by big for-profit colleges.
