Australia supports Taiwan's independence!

On August 21st the Australian Senate unanimously passed a motion that the United Nations Resolution 2758 of 1971 did not establish the sovereignty of the Chinese Communist State over Taiwan, nor did it decide the issue of Taiwan's participation in United Nations bodies.

Australia is the first country to pass a similar resolution.
