Avatar Jewish Connection

In a “westernized” world it can often be difficult to truly understand the indigenous relationship Natives have with their land. For the Jewish people, the land they are fundamentally connected to is not a piece of territory or property that can be sold or traded, but rather their eternal soulmate that they will forever belong to.

The movie Avatar successfully granted the mainstream access to understanding the sacred relationships indigenous peoples have with land. Many indigenous peoples relate deeply with this movie, including the Jewish people.

One people having a unique relationship to the land does not prevent another people from having one to. The land where Israelis, Palestinians, and other peoples come from or live on should never be divided. We need to unite this land for all of its inhabitants.
