"Choral Victory" || Unused Segment From One Of My Assignments
As the assistant composer to Richard Band, I compose additional music on his films. this cue was an alternate composition to a scene in the movie "The Primevals" in which the archeology team discovers an ancient alien craft deep inside a cave. After composing this cue (and a subsequent cue which I entitle "The Dam Breaks" and can be heard in the next video), Richard chose to go with the original cue I composed which can be heard in the movie.
The direction Richard wanted me to try was to go big choral victorious sounding but it simply did not land as initially thought. I used all the traditional hallmark elements of a big victorious moment. However, it seemed more appropriate in a movie set in ancient Rome.
