Rumors of war abound. Why then, is what we're seeing not dominating global headlines?

We're under the greatest threat of nuclear war since the Cuban Missile Crisis, yet hardly anyone is talking about it. In fact, despite the rumors of war, nearly everyone continues to go about their daily lives as if everything is the same as it's always been. This is perplexing to say the least.
