22.08.24 - The Pacific Fleet undergoes naval and coastal stages of the special all-type support drills including logistics, engineering, medical, search and rescue, and moral and psychological exercises.
-
The drills take place in waters of several bays in Primorsky region, where objects of the Pacific Fleet are stationed.
-
The drills began with loading of the Moskit cruise missile on the R-19 missile boat. Elements of comprehensive support of the Fleet's forces were practised in a secured area including restoration of damaged underwater cable line, replenishment of materiel stocks, loading of anti-submarine torpedoes with a floating crane on the ship, magnetic field measurement, and electromagnetic treatment of the ship's hull.
-
After organising a convoy of warships and logistics vessels, minesweepers provided escort for ships behind the trawls to locate and destroy mine. The involved forces were to employ Ka-27PL helicopter to search for a mock enemy's submarine and engage it by the small ASW ship MPK-82 by the PBU-6000 antisubmarine rocket launcher and torpedoes.
-
The sea stage culminated in training on repelling an attack of the mock enemy's uncrewed surface vehicle. According to the scenario, one of the fleet's ships suffered a damage during the operation. A fireboat and logistics vessels were dispatched to eliminate the consequences and to evacuate wounded and deliver them to the hospital ship Irtysh. To provide medical assistance to heavily wounded servicemen, the BL-820 speedboat was deployed to deliver them to the hospital ship Irtysh, and Ka-27PS was sent to evacuate the wounded to the Pacific Fleet Naval Hospital.
-
As part of the special exercise, the scenario also included protection the Fleet's temporary mooring place from mock enemy drone and uncrewed surface vehicles. According to the plan, there were ships replenishing material stocks and loading weapons at the mooring place.
-
For the first time, there was an anti-nuclear defence structure with a combat service support facility demonstrated during the drills. The facility deployed elements of logistics, technical, medical and moral-psychological support, including mobile barracks, canteen, bakery, clothing and food storage, showers and laundries, a naval underwater weapons training line, a morale recovery station, an infirmary, and a field temple.
-
The exercise featured events on anti-robot, anti-aircraft and anti-diversionary defence taking into account the experience of the special military operation.
