Trump leaves bulletproof glass behind to aid sick woman

Donald Trump returned to the campaign trail in North Carolina on Wednesday, the first outdoor rally following the failed assassination attempt last month, and behind thick, bulletproof glass. The glass didn’t protect him for long, however, as, mid-way through his speech, he wandered out from the protection of the glass in order to offer aid to a woman who had fainted in the crowd. ‘A doctor, please,’ he said, noticing the stricken woman. ‘It’s very hot here… it’s very hot and a lot of people waited for days to get here, so I understand it.’

Moments later, surrounded by Secret Service agents, Trump walked out from the protection of the glass in order to comfort and hug the woman and give her a few words of encouragement. As she returned to her feet, the crowd roared in approval, before Trump returned to behind the glass, and continued his speech.
