The Supreme Court of Sri Lanka has just issued an interim suspension order affecting the online visa system. That’s right—the online visa portal at www.srilankaevisa.lk is DOWN until further notice. 🛑”

Tourists can still obtain visas through Sri Lankan diplomatic missions abroad or on arrival at the port of entry. ✈️

IMPORTANT: On-arrival visas are NOT available for nationals from certain countries, including Afghanistan, Syria, Ghana, Nigeria, Pakistan, Cameroon, Ivory Coast, North Korea, and Myanmar. These travelers must apply through a representative at the Department of Immigration & Emigration. 🚫”

Visa fees remain unchanged. If you’re from China, India, Indonesia, Russia, Thailand, Malaysia, or Japan, you can still get your visa for FREE on arrival! 💸”
