Boba Fett Actor FIRED From Star Wars For Respecting George Lucas' Work

Boba Fett actor Temuera Morrison was asked if he would be reprising his role in any and all upcoming Star Wars projects, specifically The Mandalorian & Grogu movie, and the veteran actor let slip that Lucasfilm isn't making the call.

Given how poorly received The Book of Boba Fett was back in 2022, it comes as little surprise that a second season hasn't been commissioned, but the original Star Wars Bounty Hunter (Jango notwithstanding) still remains a very popular character.

The reason Morrison is on the outside looking in is because respects his character too much and doesn't want to betray the lore. He is getting the Henry Cavill treatment and shunned for a much more malleable replacement. It shows you what is valued at Disney and Lucasfilm and authenticity is perceived as a liability, not an asset.
