Why Venus Turned into Earth's Evil Twin!
Venus, Earth's closest sibling, once had oceans and lakes like our planet, but today it's an extremely hot and highly pressurized environment. The key reason for this transformation is Venus's proximity to the sun, which exposed it to more energy, gradually making its atmosphere much more extreme over billions of years. Unlike Earth, Mars lost its early atmosphere due to its smaller size, which made it unable to retain it, especially after volcanic activity slowed and eventually ceased. On Venus, the intense heat caused its oceans to evaporate, while volcanic eruptions continued to release carbon dioxide, a potent greenhouse gas. In contrast, Earth's oceans play a crucial role in regulating carbon dioxide levels by absorbing it and converting it into rock, underscoring the importance of preserving them.
