Pharaoh held hostage all the Hebrew race
Whips and chains cut deep into their backs
All of Israel cried deliver us
Free us from this evil maniac

Out of the palace came a mighty son
The chosen one with God's authority
Ten plagues later Pharaoh had to let go
Their exodus was now reality

The wealth of the wicked packed inside their bags
God's children were a holdin' a high hand
But soon they were a-mumbling at that Red Sea shore
How we gonna reach that promised land
Sounds of Pharaoh's chariots filled their hearts with fear
God said Moses just stretch forth your rod
They crossed on dry land but the enemy drowned
No Pharaoh can defeat an awesome God
