U.S. Senator Gary Peters will be among the speakers today

Peters will speak as part of the DNC's "For the People" programming that is aimed at highlighting allies with labor. Peters is in his second term in the U.S. Senate and will become Michigan's senior senator after the retirement in January of Senator Debbie Stabenow. He also served in the Michigan Senate and was Michigan Lottery commissioner.
