08/20/24 - Lightning and Ducting Interference - WSR88D Radar

Storms aren't being beamed/ targeted.
The radar is picking up charged particles from intense lightning strikes.

Radar beams are often times reflected back to the surface due to atmospheric ducting/ temperature inversions.
Which will intensify ground/ sea clutter noise.
