Tips for those who have trouble falling asleep #insomnia
🤷♀️ Sometimes we lie awake all night long and wonder why it is so hard to get a good night's sleep. 💤
Ironically the more we think we can’t sleep, the more we can’t sleep ☝
👉 Here’s a perfect #sleepaffirmation that I share with clients often:
🌙 “I fall asleep easily each night. I sleep a deep, sound, peaceful sleep and wake just before the alarm feeling relaxed, refreshed and ready for an amazing day.”☀
💤For me personally, if I wake during the night feeling alert, I place my hands on my heart and solar plexus, focus on my breath whilst I give myself Reiki healing and say to myself a good rest is just as good as sleep, a good rest is just as good as sleep. 😴💤
This might sound strange but I’m incredibly grateful to be laying in bed, awake and rested, with no interruptions.
👉 Here’s another tip for those who have trouble falling asleep
⌚ 15 minutes before you’re usual bed time lie down on the floor next to your bed and close your eyes.
🎯 Focus on relaxing each part of your body starting with your toes and working up to your head.
This is called progressive muscle relaxation.
☺ When you are fully relaxed, get into bed and imagine that you're lying in a beautiful field or on a beach somewhere.

Let yourself drift off to sleep feeling relaxed and peaceful.
You will probably find that you get more out of your sleep when you allow yourself to relax first.
