Israeli Hamas Confrontation on 1st Day of DNC Chicago Convention - August 19th, 2024

Confrontations arose as Israeli-American-Chicago demonstrators came out and moved through the Hamas/Gaza enclosed space as Hyde Park has become the staging area for the activity of the Intifada efforts to disrupt the DNC convention in Chicago.

Police have been around, but not before various people within the Hamas encampment scurried about to draw up more people and block off routes to the Israel-first contingent of demonstrations into Hyde Park; Police escort still let them through and they were able to find space in the side corner of Hyde Park with police guarding along the road touched areas.

At the same time, the city is holding the Democratic National Convention with thousands of delegates, volunteers, and media from all across the world attending. The number of spaces it is being held is conflicting to some whom see police numbers being stretched with both sites being opposite sides of the city where police would be divided to face thousands of people on either of the convention locations in McCormick or United Center.

Over 15,000 demonstrators for Hamas have popped up and have later from this time of recording went towards the Barricades, ripped multiple walls to the result of several of the dozens storming there to be arrested.

The police later responded and had walled off the Park while demonstrators began then the pitch tents for the camping for the rest of the week, though these appear to be broken up upon the police arriving in response.
