Kamala Harris’s Bold Promise: “On Day One” ICE Detention Centers Will Be Gone!
At a recent campaign event in Iowa, Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris openly declared that her first action in office would be to close all Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) detention centers and release detained illegal immigrants. When Sally Hartman, a volunteer from the Center for Worker Justice, asked Harris if she was committed to closing these centers, Harris responded enthusiastically:
"Absolutely, on day one – on day one," Harris replied to loud applause. "Yes!"
With the prospect of new voters, Harris’s stance seems to align with the Democratic strategy of securing a long-term electoral advantage.
This is one of the few instances where Harris has directly answered a policy question. Normally, she tends to evade such questions, often laughing while her supporters cheer. But this time, she was clear about her position on illegal immigration. If elected, Harris is expected to champion open borders and potentially grant amnesty to millions, solidifying Democratic dominance in future elections.
"PSA: She wants to destroy the country faster than Biden," warned one commentator on X. "Forget about safety, forget about the rule of law... Kamala wants *chaos on tap*. This is a full-on assault on America's safety."
In contrast, many Latinos for Trump see through the open borders agenda, especially those who followed legal immigration processes and resent those who bypassed them.
"Pretty much all law-abiding Hispanics see through her lies," commented another user on X. "Especially those who come from dictator countries. They see it because they've been through it."
Critics have labeled Harris's plan as a "brilliant idea" for population control, sarcastically noting that releasing more criminals into communities will only exacerbate existing problems.
Some observers noted that Harris’s promise mirrors the current situation in the United Kingdom, where immigration protests and riots are ongoing. Others suggested that the video was from her 2018 primary run, but it nonetheless reflects her views and intentions if she gains the presidency.
"They're gonna inject roughly 100 million fake votes," warned Jacob Smith (@XrealJacobSmith) on X. "Kamala has literally no support. We need to achieve 125 million votes at the least." He also stressed the importance of countering election fraud.
There is widespread concern about what Harris intends to do with the detained illegal immigrants once ICE facilities are shut down. Will they be released into American communities to fend for themselves, or will she take responsibility for them personally?
