Chabad O Lubavitch

Roots are in White Russia in a small town by the name of Lubavitch. The word Chabad is an acronym for Chachmah, Binah, Daas, which means wisdom, understanding, and knowledge. The idea is to turn intellect into action. Simply put, Chabad's message is "don't just think it, do it".
Chabad philosophy provides a conceptual approach to understanding God and other spiritual matters, maintaining that contemplating such topics constitutes Avodat Hashem ("the service of God"). Chabad philosophy also incorporated the teachings of Kabbalah as a means to deal with one's daily life and psyche.
Chabad males, starting from Bar Mitzvah age, mostly wear black fedoras. This is in contrast to other Hasidic groups who wear shtreimels, a type of fur hat. Chabad women, like other Orthodox Jews, wear clothing that conform to tzniut (Hebrew: צניעות, "modesty").
In the Torah God commands the Hebrews to attach tassels (tzitzit) to the four corners of their garments to remind them of the commandments of the Torah, and that one of the strings should be Techelet, a blue colour.
The Torah is the first five books of the Tanakh, or Hebrew Bible, which contains the books of Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy. The Torah lays out 613 laws for Jews to live by, including the Ten Commandments.
The Talmud is the body of Jewish civil and ceremonial law and legend comprising the Mishnah and the Gemara. There are two versions of the Talmud: the Babylonian Talmud (which dates from the 5th century AD but includes earlier material) and the earlier Palestinian or Jerusalem Talmud.
