Dave Whitlock’s Fox Squirrel Nymph (with legs)

Hook: 2x long or longer #10 - #20
Thread: black or orange
Tail: Fox Squirrel. back hair
Rib: gold oval or gold wire
Body: blend of fox squirrel belly hair and sparkle dubbing
Thorax: fox squirrel back hairs with under fur
Legs: optional on larger flies - very sparce (6-8 fibers) partrige or brown hen

Head cement recipe:
Goop
Xylene (epoxy thinnner)

Instructions:
Fill a quart jar half full with Xylene
Squeeze a tube of Goop into the Xylene
Shake until the Goop is dissolved; add Xylene to desired consistency

Apply with a pin or needle dipped in the liquid
