The origin of the song “Bella ciao” comes from a song by Mishka Ziganoff entitled “Oi oi di Koilen.”
"Misha Demitro Tsiganoff was born on 15 January 1889, in Odessa, the son of Yanchie Demitro Tsiganoff and Vorgja Nickolarna, and died in February of 1967. He lived in Brooklyn and Manhattan, was Christian and spoke fluent Yiddish."
