Swiss tech firm FinalSpark has launched a program offering scientists cloud access to “biocomputers” made from human brain cells for $500 a month.

These biocomputers, composed of brain cell clusters called organoids, aim to provide a highly efficient, low-energy alternative to traditional silicon-based technology for training AI models.

According to FinalSpark, using organic material could be up to 100,000 times more efficient.

The biocomputers can be trained using dopamine for positive reinforcement and electrical signals for negative reinforcement, and they can “live” for up to 100 days, Coin Telegraph has reported.
