What is Reverse Speech?

Reverse Speech is a concept that suggests that human speech, when played in reverse, can reveal hidden messages or subconscious thoughts. The idea was first popularized by Australian researcher David John Oates in the 1980s. He claimed that within normal speech patterns, there are hidden phrases or sentences that can be discerned when the speech is played backward. These reversed phrases, according to Oates, reflect a person's true thoughts, intentions, or emotions, which may be different from what they are consciously expressing.
