You need not defend the truth in you, not because it is not worth defending, but because there is truly nothing to defend against. Today, whenever another does or says something that strokes the ambers of your ego, when thoughts of judgment and revenge begin to burn within, when anger and defensiveness are demanding to erupt, stop, and recall the everlasting truth in you cannot be extinguished, disturbed, nor agitated in any way. Does the everlasting need to defend itself against time? Does the indestructible need defense against some imaginary pebbles that are thrown its way? Does the sun defend itself against the clouds that attempt to block its light? Do not give reality to illusion, nor become a witness to the shadows in your dreams, do not give the powerless a power it can’t, nor will ever have.
