What is Bottle Sickness/Bottle Shock?

So for the upcoming wine tastings this week, I noticed all the wines I tasted had a muted palette; they tasted diluted or watery. I thought I was getting sick until I did some research and found it may be an issue called bottle shock or bottle sickness, which is when the wine is jostled around too much during shipping or when a certain DOG likes to do parkour around my wine rack! Needless to say, I believe the wines I'm tasting this upcoming week were affected by bottle sickness and I need to find a different place to store my wines (AGAIN!) so that they don't get knocked over continuously by this dog!
