Gradius 3 (SNES): Hard

For this episode, I play through Gradius 3 (SNES) on hard mode. Mike Matei would be jealous of me outperforming him in this game (I saw him play on easy mode). One important thing to note is that the extra lives you have left mean nothing because when you lose one, you lose everything (speed ups, weapon upgrades, and your shield) and you will not be able to beat the game, provided how powerful and fast the enemies are, how many you would deal with on the screen, and where they are located (can be in areas impossible to shoot at with only your basic weapon).
