ANOTHER TRAIN DERAILS Carrying Hazardous Materials - Caddo, Missouri

Louisiana: Law enforcement was dispatched to a report of derailed trained in south Caddo Thursday evening (Aug. 15).

The incident was reported at 4:41 p.m. at Old Mansfield Road at Keithville-Springridge and Keithville-Keatchie roads. A Union Pacific Train derailed and struck multiple utility poles. Eight boxcars, which were car haulers, came undone from the train.

There were also hazardous materials on the train, but it did not spill.

Multiple Caddo Fire District #6 and the Caddo Sheriff’s Office are currently on the scene redirecting traffic. Drivers are encouraged to find another route. Old Mansfield Road is closed from Mansfield Road to Keithville/Springridge Road.
