"Only ten percent of Israel was dedicated to temple duties; the other 90 percent were called to take what they learned and expand God’s kingdom by acquiring territory. The priests were set apart, receiving their inheritance from the Lord, ensuring they weren’t tempted by the pursuit of influence and power. But for everyone else, the real adventure was in expanding the domain of Jesus—taking on responsibility, growing their tribes, and occupying the land God had assigned to them. The priesthood focused on faithfulness, rewarded by God, while the greater mission was for the rest of Israel to go out and claim territory. We’ve often mistaken ministry, like what I’m doing now, as the ultimate goal. But in reality, the true purpose is for the 90 percent of Jesus’ disciples to go into all the world and expand His kingdom, just as Jesus commanded in Matthew 28:19-20: ""Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you.""
