(Full Gameplay) Call of Duty [1080p] - No Commentary

The first Call of Duty game. Funny enough, this was inspired by Saving Private Ryan. When I look back on this game at a modern point of view. There is stuff modern CoD games have that this doesn't.

The health system reminds me of Half Life which in its self isn't bad, but Half Life is a physics based platformer shooter. While Call of Duty is a Movement Shooter with open stages rather than closed and tight stages.

Probably one of the things all modern games take from this game is ADS.

I must say, this has to have one of the most accurate Soviet campaigns I have ever seen. Many fans of CoD point to the Soviet campaign in WAW being the best which at a story telling point of view makes more sense. Historically however, the Soviets were the worst with their treatment of their own soldiers. So being the one who drew the short stick and not getting a gun was one of the scariest things, along with knowing that if you retreat you will die by your own allies hands. It is this kind of telling that makes games like this hold up to today.

Graphics 3/5: This isn't its specialty, but I didn't expect it to be.
Playability 3/5: Leaning is required unlike later games, and it feels very clunky at times, but it didn't have sprinting yet which actually felt nice to have similar to Halo.
Music 1/5: I would say it is similar to a movie rather than the style they chose in later games. It doesn't really fit in anymore.
Difficulty 3/5: You have a difficulty selector and for this I selected Recruit. Even then, it was hard.
Personal 4/5: It does such a good job at making a shooter game everyone should eventually play this game.
