Uranium-238 is enriched into Uranium-235 through centrifugation. Neutrons released from Uranium-235 nuclei initiate a chain reaction, multiplying exponentially. This reaction is controlled within a toroidal plasma confinement chamber using magnetic fields to maintain a stable, high-temperature environment. The heat generated is transferred to water, creating steam which drives a turbine connected to a generator, producing electricity.
