Lost Judgment is an action-adventure video game developed by Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio and published by Sega. It is expected to be released globally on September 24th, 2021. A sequel to the 2018 game Judgment (a spin-off of the Yakuza series), the game focuses on private detective Takayuki Yagami as he investigates a criminal accused of both sexual harassment and murder. Similar to how Yagami is voiced by Takuya Kimura in Japanese and Greg Chun in English, the game will feature two prominent characters voiced by two celebrities for the Japanese voiceover: Hiroshi Tamaki and Ken Mitsuishi. The game will retain the action sequences from the first game but further developed while stealth elements will also be revised.

Private detective Takayuki Yagami and his partner Masaharu Kaito are invited by their friends Fumiya Sugiura and Makoto Tsukumo to assist their fledgling detective business located in the Ijincho district of Yokohama, which has just secured a big case. Their client, Chairman Yuzo Okuda of the prestigious Seiryo High School, explains he wants to hire the detectives to covertly investigate the school to determine if any bullying has been taking place among the students, especially since the school had gotten involved in a bullying scandal four years ago when a student, Toshiro Ehara, committed suicide and a student teacher, Hiro Mikoshiba, had gone missing two months prior. Yagami and his friends agree to take the case, and quickly manage to uncover proof of a student, Mami Koda, being bullied by her classmates. Yagami manages to covertly discourage Koda's bullies from targeting her by convincing the rest of her class to stand up to them and case is seemingly solved until Yagami receives a call from his friend Saori Shirosaki at the Genda Law Office. Shirosaki explains that one of her clients, Akihiro Ehara, Toshiro's father, was arrested and convicted for sexual battery, but during his court testimony he revealed he knew about the death of Mikoshiba, who he holds responsible for Toshiro's suicide four years prior. However, the discovery of Mikoshiba's body and identification of his corpse only occurred after Ehara's statement, leading Shirosaki to believe Ehara was involved in Mikoshiba's death and deliberately got himself caught for sexual battery to provide himself an alibi for his murder. Realizing the mystery behind Seiryo High is even deeper than he imagined, Yagami decides to continue investigating the case. In order to have a cover story to stay at the school, he makes an agreement with Kyoko Amasawa of the Mystery Research Club to become the club's outside advisor. As part of his duties as the MRC's advisor, Yagami agrees to help Kyoko combat the increase of delinquency among Seiryo students.
