Kim Dotcom to be extradited from New Zealand to US

Kim Dotcom, founder of the defunct filesharing site Megaupload, is set to be extradited to the US after New Zealand’s justice minister, Paul Goldsmith, signed the order.

Dotcom, who has been fighting extradition since 2012, faces charges including copyright infringement, money laundering, and racketeering.

The New Zealand courts have upheld his extradition multiple times, with the most recent decision allowing Dotcom time to consider his next steps, The Guardian has reported.
