How can a Loving and Merciful God, also be a God of Wrath and Judgment?

This is a time old question, a seeming paradox in the Bible. I have been asked this question many times. Before being saved, I asked it myself. Let's answer this question using the verses of the Bible, the commentaries of four prominent members of the clergy (2 which are centuries old and 2 which are contemporary). Finally lets examine how Christianity has played a role in the lives of people who have the most to say about Wrath and Judgement.
