"E Pluribus Unum" in English "out of many, one" which is what Jesus wanted the disciples' mindset to be. Pastor Scott Craig uses John 17 to enhance our understanding of what it means to be "unified" with Jesus. The ruling religious leaders knew the scriptures, they knew the prophecies, and they knew Jesus. But they did not have incredible intimacy with God.

Jesus left the disciples on earth, but before He did, He prayed for them. Prayed their strength and endurance to withstand the assault that will come to them BECAUSE they understood Jesus' teachings. Jesus desired them to impact the world with truth. To deliver the Good News despite the enemy's attacks to nullify the delivery. Eternity is a long time; help others to spend it with God by introducing them to Jesus.

John 17:25-26 “Righteous Father, the world does not know you, but I know you; and these know that you have sent me. I made your name known to them, and I will make it known, so that the love with which you have loved me may be in them, and I in them.”
