Annuities Good Or Bad?

How do we know if an annuity makes sense for us? That’s a great question. So, you know any negative news that you’ve heard about annuities is typically correct. There are good annuities, there are bad annuities. In fact, there’s actually nine different kinds of annuities. At our firm, we only recommend three out of the nine.

I will also say that in light of where rates are at right now annuities are the most competitive I’ve ever seen in my entire career. Chances are if you bought an annuity from a bank a couple of years ago, it’s very likely that you can refinance your annuity with a more competitive product. So it’s really important to get a second opinion.

We’d love to help you with that. The other thing is banks are captive. So they’re going to have a limited scope of products that they can offer. That’s where you need to deal with somebody who’s independent, where we are what’s called carrier agnostic. We don’t care which company we use. We’ve got all of them.
