Was JFK Jr's plane's fuel selector found in the off position for a different reason than speculated in Dark Legacy II (in which it is suggested that a Manchurian Candidate put it in the off position while diving the plane)?
What if the fuel selector was turned off simply because the ejecting pilot and lone passenger (not JFK Jr, sister in law, or wife Carolyn) was helping ensure that the plane did not create a visible fireball by avoiding fuel reacting in the explosion near the rear of the plane caused by the remote detonation? Presumably fuel tanks are too heavy to be placed far back on the plane's body - so an explosion could break the plane in half without causing a fireball - but I'm just guessing...)
