Demi Lovato is opening up about the emotional and physical challenges she faced growing up as a child star. Known for her roles in Disney's Camp Rock and Sonny With a Chance, Lovato admits that her early fame came with significant hardships that she was unprepared to handle.

The singer, now 31, revealed that she remembers very little after the release of Camp Rock at age 15, a film that catapulted her into the spotlight. “I had reached a point where I couldn’t handle it emotionally or physically,” Lovato told the Hollywood Reporter in an interview. “I didn’t realize that child stardom could be traumatic—it wasn’t for everyone, but it was for me.”

Reflecting on her past behavior, Lovato expressed remorse for the way she treated others on set, acknowledging the impact her pain had on those around her. “I think about the people in the wardrobe department or guest stars on my show. I was young and in so much pain, but I’m really sorry for how I acted. That guilt stays with you,” she shared.
