Nettle also known as Stinging Nettle is in the...you guessed it! The Nettle family.
Latin name: Urtica dioica
Nettle soup: Fresh nettle leaves, onion, garlic, potatoes, broth (vegetable or chicken), olive oil, salt, and pepper.
Sauté chopped onions and garlic in olive oil until soft. Add diced potatoes and broth, and cook until the potatoes are tender. Add a handful of fresh nettle leaves and cook for another 5 minutes. Blend the soup until smooth, season with salt and pepper, and serve hot.
Nettle hair rinse: Fresh or dried nettle leaves, water. Boil a handful of nettle leaves in water for 10-15 minutes. Let the mixture cool, then strain the liquid. Use this nettle infusion as a final rinse after shampooing your hair.

Gravel root also known as Joepye weed or kidney root.
Latin name: Eupatorium purpureum.
Gravel root poultice: Fresh Gravel root (or dried root rehydrated in hot water). Crush or grind fresh gravel root (or rehydrated dried root) to make a paste. Spread paste onto a clean cloth or gauze. Apply the paste to the affected area and secure it in place. Leave on for 20-30 minutes. Remove and rinse the area with warm water.
