CCTV footage shows horrific moment cop knocked to ground in Ferguson protests

Ferguson police in Missouri have released body camera footage showing the violent attack on Officer Travis Brown, during a protest marking the 10th anniversary of the death of Michael Brown (no relation). The footage, revealed at a news conference, depicted 28-year-old Elijah Gantt charging at Officer Brown outside the Ferguson police station, attacking him with such ferocity that Brown’s head struck the pavement, leaving him unconscious with a life-threatening brain injury. The video, captured from multiple angles, shocked those in attendance, including police officers and city officials. Officer Brown remains in critical condition, while Gantt faces multiple charges. Police Chief Troy Doyle described the attack saying, ‘this guy tackled my guy like he’s a football player.’
