Welcome to Episode 13 of Molecular Playground! In this video, I transform Everclear alcohol into diethyl ether! This ether can dissolve a wide range of organic compounds and alkaloids. It can also complex with Lewis acids, making it useful in Grignard and alkyllithium reactions.

Warning:
May form explosives peroxides when standing in air or exposed to light. Handle with caution!
