13.8.2024 Failing Sprinklers, Kuranda

It's been a couple of months since we've been out on our early morning walks picking up rubbish and checking out what's going on around Kuranda. Aside from being quiet dark and cool in the early mornings I've not been feeling too great - the hangover from a hernia operation I had over 3 years ago one could say...
It's kind of reassuring, in a way, to know that during this time Mareeba Shire Council have been continuing on with their policy of 'mediocrity, minimal maintenance and indifference' when it comes to Kuranda.
Sure Anzac Park looks much better (it couldn't get much worse) however, the most of the rest of Kuranda, considering we are in the peak of our tourist season, is looking exceedingly ordinary...
At least we know that there are still a few of our sprinkler systems working...sort of.
Maybe if they get around to fixing the sprinkler they might also manage to clean the signs Liz...
