Super Saint Princess of Paradise Saint Philomena

The feast of Saint Philomena August 13

She was the daughter of a Greek king who, along with his wife and family, converted to Christianity. At 13, Philomena consecrated herself to God and took a vow of perpetual virginity.

Roman Emperor Diocletian Seeing the beautiful young girl, the Emperor lusted after her.

When she refused his advances, St. Philomena was scourged, drowned with an anchor attached to her, and shot with arrows.

Each time she was attacked angels took to her side and healed her through prayer, until at last she was beheaded

She was called The “dear little saint”
And little princess of Paradise by Padre Pio

She is considered the patroness of newlyweds; and she has often given the joy of motherhood to women who had been sterile. Pray for us 🙏🏾
