How dirty is the internet?

The internet depending on the region of the world will run on coal, fuel oil, atomic, wind and solar. The main dominant source of power generation is running on fossil fuels. The second dominant source of power generation is atomic.

I used a Boeing 747's fuel capacity and range as an illustration in this video to highlight how much energy is actually needed to produce the energy needed to power the internet in terms of email.

A gallon of JP8 av gas is 6.47 pounds and you would need over 22 billion pounds of fuel or 4 thousand boeing 747's worth of fuel an hour to have enough power available to send emails over the internet.

Will this change peoples behavior? In the present probably not.
