The Gospel of the Kingdom

Do you understand the difference between the Gospel and the Gospel of the Kingdom? The “gospel” most of us refer to is the message concerning the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ (1 Corinthians 15:1-14). The pertinent facts that He died on the cross for our sins and that through faith in Him we receive forgiveness and eternal life. But this is not the “Gospel of the Kingdom” which can be observed with a simple comparison of Matthew 24:14; Acts 1:3; 8:12; 28:30-31. The “gospel” or “message” of the kingdom was how to enter and live in the kingdom of God on earth! It’s crazy to see how we have postponed kingdom living until we get to heaven or Jesus returns to earth. Time to start living in a way that turns the world upside down!
