Why Are Jews God's Chosen People?

There is not any clear definition why the Jews are God's chosen people and this is my opinion according to scripture as to why. One the points I didn't finish, was that if Jesus is to be a pure Jew, which He is, He would have to come through the bloodline of pure Jews and if Adam & Eve weren't Jews, than nor is Jesus.
