Description

Organifer Cover Crop Mix is a diverse blend of 10 different plant species from 7 distinct plant families. This seed mix, featuring green manures and cover crops, is meticulously formulated to optimally enhance and fortify your soil.

Nourish Soil Life

Cultivating this mix of cover crops significantly increases the organic matter content in your soil, thereby improving its overall quality. The deep root systems nourish soil life at various depth levels, resulting in healthier and more fertile soil. Additionally, this Cover Crop Mix boosts the population of beneficial rhizobacteria and mycorrhizal fungi, leading to improved nutrient availability for your crops.

Improve Soil Structure and Resilience

This green manure mix contributes to the improvement of soil structure by breaking up compacted soil layers and creating small channels and fissures in the soil. Enhanced soil structure provides more space for air circulation, water infiltration, and root growth. The deep root systems of selected plant species help drain excess water, promoting better water infiltration. Additionally, the soil’s capillary action is improved, making moisture more available during dry periods. The above-ground vegetation of the crops acts as a natural barrier against soil erosion, which is crucial for preserving the fertile topsoil and preventing soil degradation.

Increases Organic Matter

Incorporating this green manure mix into the soil in the spring results in a substantial increase in the organic matter content. This boosts soil fertility by providing nutrients to crops and improving soil structure, leading to more space for root growth and better soil aeration. Organic matter enhances the soil’s water retention capacity, which helps during dry periods and reduces the need for synthetic fertilizers. Additionally, it attracts beneficial soil microorganisms, improving soil health and nutrient uptake. Increasing the organic matter content promotes a fertile, healthy, and more resilient soil, ultimately leading to improved crop yields.
