Zimbabwe Hunting Safari 2024

This is the hunting Safari I took in Zimbabwe in 2024. It is one hour and forty minutes long, professionally filmed and edited.

It was an exceptional Safari. Not only did I get an Elephant and a Cape buffalo, but also a huge Chobe Bushbuck, an exceptional Kudu, two better than average Impalas, a beautiful Burchell's Zebra, and a Spotted Hyena.

I hunted old school by tracking, and used old school guns. A 1910 W.J. Jeffery Double in the caliber .475 No. 2 Jeffery for the Elephant and Buffalo, and a 1914 Holland & Holland bolt action rifle in .375 H&H which I brought both as a backup for the double and as my plains game gun.

Some of the meat from the animals I shot certainly fed myself and the entire staff, with the remainder going to local, protein starved villages.

The fees hunters pay provide jobs as well as fund the majority of the conservation efforts, the most impactful being the anti-poaching units. Without them the wildlife of Zimbabwe (and most other African countries) would be decimated in just a few short years.

Zimbabwe is one of my favorite countries and the people are without a doubt the friendliest I've met anywhere in the world. This was my second time hunting Zimbabwe, and I will be back. It's a great country to visit.
