Newtype Magazine is a Japanese monthly magazine that focuses on the culture and technologies of anime and manga, as well as other aspects of the Japanese pop culture. The magazine is based on the concept of "Newtypes," a term from the anime and manga series "Mobile Suit Gundam," which refers to the next stage of human evolution, characterized by heightened senses and empathic abilities. The magazine was launched in 1985 and is still being published today.
